Over 18 years, I have worked at the intersection of human resources, procurement, and supply chain across engineering, construction, property management, media, banking, telecoms, and government. What I encountered sector after sector has given me a rare vantage point to see how people strategy is applied. Organisations understood the value of people, but struggled to demonstrate it in practice, particularly during procurement and supply chain management. I didn't just understand the problem; I solved it.

This led me to a defining chapter of my career; leading the supply chain equality, diversity, and inclusion agenda for one of the UK’s most publicly scrutinised infrastructure programmes. It was here that I turned insight into action at a national and international level. I designed and implemented an industry first external accreditation, a new standard that is now held by 90% of suppliers responsible for delivering over £7 billion worth of business. Nothing like this existed before, as it set a new benchmark for accountability in supply chain people management.

But numbers only tell part of the story. The harder work was cultural shift. I developed supplier forum as a new engagement model to connect office based and site based construction workforces. The result wasn't just a programme. It was a shift in how an entire sector thought about people performance.

That is the expertise Octa Associates brings to your organisation; a proven blueprint for building equity into your supply chain.
